Melissa Maria
Spring Peach Sangria
Ingredients:
1 small lemon
1 small orange
1 bottle of burgundy
1/2 cup of pineapple chunks
1/2 cup of canned peaches or 1 fresh peach ( do not do this what a pain to cut!)
1/2 cup of cognac
1 bottle of soda water
Ice cubes
Optional to add apples or maybe even bananas
Directions:
For this recipe, I cut out the sugar. It will not be as sweet, but the fruit provides such a nice flavor it does not seem necessary.
Cut lemon and orange in half. Squeeze half of each and slice thinly the larger halves.
In a large pitcher, combine juices, wine, pineapple chunks, peach, and cognac. Stir with a wooden spoon. Cover pitcher and let stand 1 hour in refrigerator. Then add soda and ice cubes. Serve very cold. I can not recommend enough buying a sparkling water machine. It is great for dinner parties, pays for itself, and so much better for the environment!
